Congratulations! <span class=\"x1xsqp64 xiy17q3 x1o6pynw x19co3pv xdj266r xcwd3tp xat24cr x39eecv x2b8uid\" data-testid=\"emoji\"><span class=\"xexx8yu xn5pp95 x18d9i69 x2fxd7x x1yqt14a x1bhl96m\">\ud83c\udf40<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Darja has been awarded for her work focused on casein kinases. Her work was entitled <strong>\u201cPreparation of an experimental system for the analysis of CK1a and CK1a-like kinases in vitro and its use for determining the substrate specificity of these kinases\u201d<\/strong> and the results of this work contribute specifically to the understanding of the biology of CK1\u03b1 kinase.<\/p>\n<p>The reason for the insufficiently effective treatment of myelodysplastic syndrome and acute myeloid leukemia in some cases is the inaccuracy of the inhibitors designed so far, which are not very specific to CK1\u03b1.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, this is the first study that deals with the hitherto unknown CK1\u03b1-like kinase. Further research could therefore be aimed at identifying external factors that determine the unique substrate specificity of CK1\u03b1 and CK1\u03b1-like in vivo with the aim of improving the treatment of the mentioned cancer diseases with innovative inhibitors of these kinases.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Interview with Darja:<\/strong> <a href=\"_wp_link_placeholder\"
